There follows a message from Gavin Wood, Project Advisor at CityConnect, about a drop-in at City Hall, Bradford, on Monday, 5^th March from 1.00 to 6.00pm.

Work has now begun on the CityConnect Canal Road Corridor Cycle Way. With completion due in Summer 2018, the new infrastructure will offer traffic-free cycling from the existing Canal Road Greenway, starting in Shipley, to central Bradford.

 

We are inviting representatives from organisations located on the route, and other organisations who have shown a commitment to promoting sustainable transport in Bradford to come along and see the plans, speak with designers, and get an update on progress so far.

 

At the event, the scheme's designers from Bradford Council will have detailed plans to show exactly what is being built. Our contractor, P.Casey (Land Reclamation) Ltd, will be there to explain how this might affect you or your employees, and the CityConnect team will be in attendance to provide further information about the ambition for cycling across the region and how initiatives, such as Bike Friendly Business, CityConnect Cycles and Bike Friendly Schools are paving the way for increasing the levels of cycling in West Yorkshire.

 

You would all be very welcome to drop-in to this event if you want further information about the new CityConnect cycle route on Valley Road.

 

Please note the event is a drop-in, you are welcome to attend at any time between 13.00pm and 18.00pm.  The venue is Committee Room 1, Bradford City Hall.
