Ipswich People and Planet

Hi everyone,

I have been approached by Eamonn O'Nolan of the Deben Climate Centre, who is organising a mini environmental festival to be held at the Ancient House over three weekends in late March/early April. He would like us to get involved in some way, but is open to ideas as to how.

Some possibilities as I see it would be:

• Organised rides starting/finishing at the Ancient House, perhaps to coincide with a BBQ or picnic in the courtyard, which he would be putting on
• A bike doctor (Kevin?) doing free safety/maintenance checks
• Presence at the site with information about Cycle Ipswich, the Walking and Cycling Charter, cycling in general.  This would need people to volunteer their time, but we could possibly share with Ipswich CAN. Eamonn is offering to print up banners of some kind for participating organisations that they can keep.

Any comments, ideas and (especially) offers to get involved?
