Hi,

Would you like to see a 20mph default speed limit in Suffolk? The Lib Dem, Green & Independent group have a motion going to the Suffolk County Council meeting on Thursday 22nd October 2020: https://committeeminutes.suffolk.gov.uk/DocSetPage.aspx?MeetingTitle=(22-10-2020),%20County%20Council

If you would like to see the above it’s worth writing to your county councillors to support the motion. One way to find out who your county councillor is, is using https://www.writetothem.com

So what happened?

Sadly the motion fell 48 votes to 20. Labour supported the Lib Dem / green motion but the Conservatives were ordered to vote against. Cll Andrew Reid claimed “20mph was unenforceable” without expensive engineering work to calm traffic.
