"Got it to stuff in my son's backpack and put life 360 on only complaint is best but cut ties with T-Mobile so I couldn't activate it on site. He don't use the phone but the battery lasts all week with life 360 running"
Once all squares are joined, single crochet into each stitch around the entire front piece. (72 sc) Repeat this for the back piece. *to count your stitches here, there will be 6 sc per side of each square.

So grandma's screen broke and she needed a phone to use for 3 months until her upgrade was available. I offered her my old phone but I would have had to mail it. She wanted her a phone for safety right away. In the VERIZON store they convinced/conned her into a new two year contract with a basic phone for only $100. Now she has to pay for two lines and has one crappy phone. Why in the world would she need a two year contract for a basic phone only to get her by until upgrade eligibllity in 3 months? Answer SHE DOESN'T. If you are signing a two year contract get a decent phone, for my family thats apple, but for others maybe Driods. DO NOT waste your upgrade with a basic phone. RIPPED OFF Grandma.
In all fairness, your grandma is the one who didn't want to wait for you to mail your phone, and she is the one who went into the store and signed the contract. Since mailing a phone only takes a few days, it sounds to me like she wanted a new phone now. So saying Verizon ripped off your grandma is a stretch.
Also why is she paying for 2 lines if she only has one phone? Oh they talked her into adding a line to get a new phone now then in 3 months she can use the upgrade on her line? Sounds like she was impatient and didn't ask any family to help her sort all this out. As said if she just did this she can get out. Since we were not there we have no way of knowing what she said to the sales rep that let them to tell her to do that either so we are only hearing one side of the story. It's easy to say don't use your uprade for a cheap basic phone but not every one can afford smart phones and the costs that come with it. Mary
Well we sign 2yr contracts but the 3 of us do not get apple or droids, cant afford them or the data costs that go with so we get basic phones. Next time have her ask around to friends if they have an old verizon phone sitting unused she could borrow. I have 3 flip phones here I keep for spares in case one of our phones break. Friend recently bought a used one cheap on ebay to get by until upgrade time. Another option is if there is a free cycle group on yahoo groups for your area can post and see if anyone has an verizon phone they don't want and you get it free. Mary
This gorgeous phone sling fits all your essentials including your phone, card holder, and even has an outer slip pocket for earphones or airpods. You can mix and match this phone sling with any granny square pattern you like!
Round 28: slst to the purple st marker, then chain 220 (adjust according to desired length see technical notes for more info). Slst to where the red stitch marker is (fig. 3a). With the bag WS facing you, slip stitch across towards the purple stitch marker. When you get halfway, chain 18 and slst into the same stitch (fig. 3b), then continue slip stitching across to the purple stitch marker.
Building up the strap: Once you get to the purple stitch marker, single crochet into each chain stitch, working into the front and back loops at the same time. Crochet loosely when working into each chain stitch. If you crochet too tightly, it will result in a strap that curls.
Pin to the front of your bag as shown in fig. 5. It should be on the opposite side as the button loop we just worked onto the top of the bag. Orient the granny square so that the tail is on the top right corner.
Adding the button: Using 3 threads of brown embroidery floss, sew a button to the 3rd row of the bag (counting from the top). There should be about 13 sts to the left and right of the button.
Your phone sling is all done! I hope you enjoyed crocheting it and found the pattern helpful. I would love to see your finished project, so share a picture on Instagram with me by using the #littleworldofwhimsy and tagging me @littleworldofwhimsy.

Using 2-3 strands of the worsted weight yarn, or a matching thread (doubled up), sew on a Snap Button. I did so to the second cluster vertically from the top center, and in between Row 7 and 8 of the Flap.
*I ran into a slight concern with my button as it had a shank and the shank did not fit down in between the stitches as I envisioned due to the snap button being on the other side. This did not really pose an issue though, I sewed right through the surface and the shank and made a kind of cushion around it to provide security. I felt this was best shown in photos.
Join yarn to the stitches right above the first stitch of the slip stitch seam you created after completing the granny square. Make sure to join yarn through both layers for added security.
DO NOT join yarn to the opposite side of the granny square as it does not have the support to hold the strap. Your square will stretch out and get droopy along the side.
Chain 20, slip stitch into same stitch.
*I wanted just a small strap that I could attach my keys to if I wanted to and that I could hold in my fingers, but you may want to chain a strap large enough for your wrist to fit through.
Chain 1, turn. Slip stitch in each stitch across. Slip stitch join.
Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.

Android Phone is an exclusive easter egg item in Granny Android Edition, the item can be randomly found on one of the tables in Granny's House, the phone can't activate and has an Android symbol on it's side.
At this point, Miss T begged to take a green toy telephone, part of a kitchen play set at our house, on her trip. I discouraged this because I felt sure she would lose it, leaving an empty space on the kitchen shelf where the phone should be.
Robab, my grandma, is almost going to be a hundred years old. She lives alone in someplace in Karaj, Iran. She is very old, and she doesn't have ability to read and write. She is from a generation that they didn't have chance to experience modern system of education.
Although, one of my grandma's daughters who lives in Karaj in her neighborhood, and visits her everyday, she does all of her needs on her own.
When I was a student in Tehran, Iran and was living in Karaj several years ago, I can recall that she bought a small notebook in order to do something special for herself. I was curious a bit to know what she wants to do with that notebook while she didn't even know how to write or read. I left karaj, moved to Yazd, and then moved outside of Iran.
Now, I'm back to Iran, after 10 months, and I saw she did a good job in terms of memorizing and remembering her family members' phone numbers.
