Greetings loved ones,
I wanted to pass on a resource that my brother-comrade visionary change agent beloved friend Yolo Akili is creating. Please feel free to share, benefit from and add to this resource.
Infinite love,
Lex
I want to introduce to each of you: the Queer Safety Compass
The Queer Safety Compass, Or "QSC" is an interactive, "always in
progress" map of LGBTQ DV Victim service agencies or LGBTQ competent
agencies across the United states.
You can View Here:
http://Www.Yoloakili.com (Click Queer Safety Compass)
I created the map out of my own frustration with recieving calls from
LGBTQ individuals fleeing violence across the country and having no
comprehensive resource to look to.
Now by simply scrolling over the circles on the map, you can get
hotlines and organizations names quickly, as well as links to their
respective websites by clicking on the circle.
Please let others know about the QSC, especially those in rural
areas who need to know there are folks out there they can reach out too.
It is most important to me that each regional area have a
resource, as opposed to listing the multiple resources that one
metropolis has ( for instance, NYC has several, while i will list them,
my goal is to Identify as many rural area organizations as possible, as
those are the places i find that the most difficulty in finding support
becomes apparent.)
My desire is for the agencies to be "victim service" agencies. Places
where people can call safely for support, however, other anti-violence
resources are welcome and will be considered.
Its in the BEGINNING STAGES! So please send me your links, info,
knowledge as I would like to add more to this list! Inevitably I also
plan for the QSC to have its own Url. But for now it will be linked to
my website:
http://Www.Yoloakili.com (Click Queer Safety Compass)
Please send agencies you know of to
Yo...@yoloakili.com. I will add listings promptly. Love, peace & safety to you- Yolo
And also, you were tagged because I know you do good work. Thank you for you and all that you do!!!

www.combaheesurvival.wordpress.comI am writing these words as a route map
an artifact for survival...
History is not kind to us
we restitch it with living
past memory forward
into desire
into the panic articulation
of want without having
or even the promise of getting.
And I dream of our coming together
encircled driven
not only by love
but by lust for a working tomorrow
the flights of this journey
mapless uncertain
and necessary as water.
