Greetings Amazing Women of Color Organizers,
This is Alexis writing to check in and follow up about the upcoming Cyberquilting workshop! I am so excited that each of you have expressed interest in participating in the workshop this Spring. Instead of gathering you all for an in person information session this Thursday during this busy time of year and knowing the the folks at Young Women's Empowerment Project will be in New York presenting their work we have decided to move forward with more individual outreach (that means me! because I chose to be the check-in and follow up person for your groups specifically) and we will also be sending a survey about what forms of technology you currently use in your organization. You'll be hearing from me soon!
Blessings and thanks always for all the work that you do!
Alexis

I am writing these words as a route map
an artifact for survival...
History is not kind to us
we restitch it with living
past memory forward
into desire
into the panic articulation
of want without having
or even the promise of getting.
And I dream of our coming together
encircled driven
not only by love
but by lust for a working tomorrow
the flights of this journey
mapless uncertain
and necessary as water.
