Hi all,

This week in our Internet and Society class we will be looking into
the relationship between the individual and the state in a globally
networked environment. The instructors, Rob and Colin, have posted
the following teaser on our wiki to get you interested:

"Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? What happens when
anyone can publish to a national (and global) audience with virtually
no oversight? In this class we will address efforts in the United
States to limit speech on the Internet through legislation."

Sounds like a good free speech themed discussion starter to me. So
please join us at Berkman Island at 7:35 EST/ 4:35 SLT. The wiki page
with the readings can be found here:

Also, you are all welcome to join me for office hours Thursday night
at Berkman Island, 9-10 EST/ 6-7 SLT, if you'd like to meet with your
classmates for more in-depth discussion, or if you just like to hang
out and meet our at-large cohort! Last week's transcript can be found
here:

Hope to see you soon!

Regards,
