I live in Orange County, CA.
We have TWC CATV and DOCSIS, with not a lot of complaints about the service we receive.
The price is another matter entirely - they jacked the price up to an outrageous level, once we went off-contract.
And of course TWC is going to be swallowed by Comcast pretty soon - and I don't like what I read about Comcast.
We can sign another two year contract at a lower rate - or we can switch to AT&T or VZ.
We're not ready to "cut the cable" just yet, or I'd consider going to Sonic.net for out Internet service.
What are the pluses and minuses of going to FIOS?
I've read multiple reports that VZ installation techs cut the copper when they install FIOS.
We don't currently have wireline telephone service, but the copper is in place, and I'd really hate to have them cut it - if I get FIOS installed, how can I ensure they don't cut the copper if they install when I'm not watching?
