You may find the open-source tool "rclone" to be more useful here:

You can expand it's uploading into sections, control bandwidth
usage, etc. I use something like this for large directory
structures:
rclone copy --update --verbose --transfers 30 --checkers
8 --contimeout 60s --timeout 300s --retries 3 --low-level-retries
10 --stats 1s "/Volumes/some/Path" "googledrive:Path/directory/"
I have used this to transfer a huge amount of data, it rarely fails
and will resume. There are many options you can pass to it.
This project is actively developed, too.
