In versions of Cyberduck later than 7.1.2, we've noticed issues using it with the IBM Cloud Object Storage on-premises product.  It doesn't happen in every instance, but in many instances of a created bucket, the objects in the bucket will not be visible in post-7.1.2 versions of Cyberduck.  However, going back to the 7.1.2 version or earlier, the objects are visible.

I've included the logs from 7.8.3 that show a successful and a failed bucket contents retrieval.  I've also included a log from 7.1.2 that shows a successful retrieval for the same bucket that failed for 7.8.3.

One thing I've noticed is that in 7.8.3 (and other post-7.1.2 versions) the host field will show the bucket appended on the front of the actual host name for a bucket that fails retrieval.  However, when a bucket is successfully retrieved, the host name doesn't have the bucket name.

Is there a way to correct this issue without reverting to an earlier version of Cyberduck?

Hi Paul,

What are looking for is probably the connection profile using the deprecated path style requests from https://trac.cyberduck.io/wiki/help/en/howto/s3#Disableuseofvirtualhoststylerequests

David,

That did the trick. Thanks for the quick response and accurate information. It's appreciated.

Are there any side effects of using this solution that I should know about?

Paul
