Cyberduck will not launch - Updated Mac OS 10.5.8

Downloaded latest Cyberduck but when I try to launch it, the duck
bounces a few times in the dock and then disappears. I've updated my
Mac software OS 10.5.8, updated Java through Software Update, and
verified my disk with Disk Utility.
Still the bouncing and disappearing duck.

Can you find any related output in the `system.log` (''/Applications/Utilities/Console.app'')?
