I've just started using Cyberduck to connect to virtual machines at work.

I have some scripts on the virtual machines which require X-11 to run. When I try to run the scripts currently from a Terminal through Cyberduck in that directory, I get the following message:

How can I open a connection to a virtual machine using Cyberduck with the SSH options -YAX, so that I can run my script?

Why use cyberdeck rather than just an SSH connection?
Or VPN?

I have multiple scripts across multiple virtual machines, and I often also have to transfer outputs from one virtual machine to another virtual machine. I find I can work much quicker with the Cyberduck GUI to do all of this. Do you know how I might be able to replicate ssh -YAX in a Cyberduck connection to a virtual machine?

  • I don't know how to do that, because I personally wouldn't do it that way.
  • VPN would be my preferred approach if it's available.
  • Otherwise I would run my scripts in PuTTY, and if there's no good local transfer tool,  use FreeFileSync to transfer between virtual machines.
