Thanks for your invitation to discuss. Here is my response. I met Beer in 2001 at a big conference in Vienna. I have, coming from an officially socialist country (CCP China), a different opinion, even though Beer's VSM has been very dominant in my school studies and Beer spoke like a guru in ASC conferences. So, count me as a "dissident." I have attached a paper from more than 20 years ago, which might, from a different angle, explain why Cybersyn had a fate to fail. I'm curious to hear your views. 

Also, it might be helpful if we use some AI help to stage a virtual discussion of Stafford Beer meeting with Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, and Karl Popper in the same room?

Hello folks

I regret not being able to regularly engage or even read this list (both of them).

Some of you may know I maintain syscoi.com - an attempt to link to everything I come across of interest in the systems | cybernetics | complexity space. 

You would be welcome to join there as contributors.

But my request today is this:

Empowered by AI, I have produced https://transduction.systems/ - an interactive, growing, atlas and map of the systems|cybernetics|complexity field.

Inspired by various genealogies and maps and particularly prior work on the SCiO SysBoK, the concept is to cover methods, tools, practices, people, publications, fields, concepts etc - and to show the connections between them, validated by some evidence - so what parts are dependent on which others, who worked together, who is excluded from the mainstream cannon etc etc.

It's by no means perfect - especially the map - but it offers opportunities to explore, learn, and interrogate (including 'ask a question' of the material).

What is needed now is some opinionated people in this space who will spot omissions, errors, and opportunities, and contribute them for future updates.

Wonder if any of you are aware of such people?
