First, thanks to the 15 or so of you that came to the Lamplighter.  I hope that everyone liked the divey nature of that joint.  Please feel free to shoot me a suggestion for the next Happy Hour. (no Aaron, we can not have it in Tijuana, as "radical" as that would be.)

 

MORE IMPORTANTLY, I wanted to remind everyone about the Crew Classic this weekend. (see email below)  I was completely unaware of how cool this event is and went to it last year by total accident.  Basically, every single alumni association has a tent for their crew team.  Last year we were sandwiched by University of Washington and I think LSU.  We ended up hanging with Harvard folks, heckling the Cal folks, and helping the Naval Academy folks drink the rest of their beer.

 

It is a really great time and, in my humble opinion, embodies what the Stanford Club of San Diego should be all about-- providing free food and drink to undergrads, engaging in some good natured school spirit, meeting other alums, and enjoying the San Diego weather.

 

I will be there most of the day and hope to see you all there... for some or all of the day's festivities.
