First, hope you all read the front page of the Union Tribune today and are all now aware that Stanford won the Copley Cup yesterday at the Crew Classic.  We now have a two year streak going. 

 

Second, I was asked to forward the email below.  I really try to limit what I send out to everyone, but this seemed like a cool event.  And, I am familiar with this winery and they really make some good red zinfandel... if you are into that sorta thing. So maybe something to check out... especially you Andrea Wendt!  These are your people! :)

April 5th- Faculty Speaker Event

June 8th- PAC-10 Night at the Padres game.  (each school has 20 seats)

July 14th- 3rd Annual Summer Bonfire at Crowne Point in Pacific Beach.

August- Tentative- Beach Cleanup in coordination with Surfrider Foundation.

Dear Fellow PAC-10 Council Members,

 

Our premier fund-raising event for our scholarship fund is just around the corner and I would like to invite you and all of your constituents to attend this fabulous evening.  Troon Vineyards from the Applegate Valley (southern Oregon) is bring the wine, the Bahia Hotel is providing a great menu and both Dan Fouts (Former SD Charger quarterback) & Norv Turner (SD Charger Head Coach) who are former Ducks will be our special guests.

 

The event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and cost of the event is tax deductible beyond $55.00 towards the cost of seating.  Most importantly, all proceeds benefit our scholarship fund which funds annual scholarships awarded to San Diego County seniors entering the University of Oregon each fall.
