My name is Timothy (J.) Rappl. I graduated top on my (undergrad) class in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of the class entering in the fall of 1996. I start there for you because that was the last year of the “old curriculum,” and there was much talk about the “new curriculum” they put in place for the ’97 freshman class, with whom I graduated (because I did of year of co-op in an R&D lab between my junior and senior year) being “watered down,” or Chem-E light.

My final semester, the spring of 2001, both of my grandfathers died, but I still won the Coonley award for my senior design project. The professor of that class was none other than the M.M. Abbott from the textbook. He had a pet peeve against the popular equating of “entropy” with “disorder.”

In grad school I ended up studying under an advisor who got his PhD from RPI. That was at U.C. Berkeley (Chemical Engineering). After a few years there I won an (2004) award from the American Conference on Neutron Scattering for outstanding student research. I split it, to be sure. Despite that, after I dropped out (Albert Pan, under David Chandler, was like “dude, they’re gonna be using this research in text books in the future) in pursuit of my (then nebulous, and non-confessing) faith, just short of attaining my Degree (PhD), he, eventually, my now former advisor, told me Berkeley quit taking grads from RPI because of me! Berkely was ranked* number two, behind only MIT, the year I entered. And it is always* in the top five. That was Dec 2, 2005 (whatever date the school itself might have put on the official record).

Why do I come to you? And why now?

I come now because now is the time for not ~~it~~ (it --> not ~~it~~). I have been following Daystar and TBN and CTN for many many years now. I’m familiar to at least modest degree with everyone*. When I’m home, the tv is almost always on (in the background), and it (not ~~it~~) is almost always Christian tv.

My Faith is now firmly established. Our Lord and I have been walking hand-in-hand for many years now. We are sending out our (https://biblehub.com/luke/14-16.htm) invitations. As technology has progressed, the internet has become less and less useful for God. We are not opposed to technology, but (as I have said), in the hands of man not ~~it~~ is always used to further Evil rather than Good ({{case inpoint above}}), with higher and higher “irreversibilities.” The internet is to the point where man is so disempowered that it* is almost not worth it at all. We hold the door as long as we can!!!
