Community Without Walls (CWW), the Middle Tennessee "Aging in Place" Program, joins with Graceworks to provide volunteer services to seniors desiring to remain at home as long as feasible. This is a free program, featuring a nationally known and local experts on the subject of aging at home.
Meet your neighbors and friends while learning about visions for the future.
Program
1. An overview of Graceworks by their Executive Director and volunteers
2. A panel of the Pilot Project of Aging in Place by the founders and volunteers
3. Walter Bortz, II, MD, Stanford University will address why, "We Live Too Short and Die Too LONG!" Also an update on the flu will be addressed.
Dr. Bortz is the author of the health book of the year (the title of his presentation), as well as "Living Longer for Dummies;" "Dare to be 100;" "Diabetes Danger;" and ""Next Mediciine;" and numerous Journal articles.
Invited guests: the TN Commissioner on Aging, the Vice-Mayor of Davidson County.
