All single pass document feeders feature a second glass scanner section that needs to be cleaned from time to time to avoid any lines that would appear on the back pages of any copy or scan from the auto-document feeder.

The second glass can be accessed by lifting the top feeder section and pressing the green button in the attached picture 1. Once the second glass is exposed you can wipe any dried white-out or dirt off the glass strip with lighly moist paper towel. Avoid using any sharp objects as scratching the scanner glass will result in permanent damage.

Tip: You can place the printed paper sample to the glass scanner strip to identify the exact area that needs cleaning.
