This is usually related to connection or badly compiled print job. You can go around all the PCs and delete all jobs from the print que. Unplug the printer from network and restart. Once all ques are cleared, plug in the printer back to your network. If you still get the error when plugging the network in you may have missed some PCs. Once all cleared, you can start printing.

We would also recommend updating the firmware once you have the machine back to ready. The latest firmware 07.22.1 18 Oct 2013 can be downloaded here. You can check the current firmware by printing the Configuration Page and look at the top right column. If the error persist we can start troubleshooting by putting in a new network card (Same jetdirect card as your HP 4250 units).

Hi Harry,

We have an HP5550 that is displaying error code 49.4C02.
I have rebooted the machine, but every page that is printed causes the error code to come up again.
Could you please come out or have someone come out and take a look at it.
