Hello fellow users, testers, and developers,

I'm JakeSamiRulz, current lead of Custom Wars Tactics. This is the bug report and feature request page for all releases of Custom Wars Tactics. Below, I'll outline the format and information required for filling out bugs and feature requests. In the parentheses are examples of what belongs in a category.

Anyone can post bug reports and feature requests about the game system here. I urge everyone to follow the posted guidelines in this message. Following these templates will allow us to file your issues quickly and effectively. Please allow us some days to get to your comments posted within this section. We should get to each one eventually, but if you want a quicker response you might to pull any request made here to the forums instead.

Title: Such great options, even the main menu is optional.

On the "Options" menu, pressing the "Go Back" button crashes the game.

The game should have returned to the main menu.

Title: UI improvements for Android devices

Describe the feature:
The main menu does not fit very well in the screen and the high scroll sensitivity makes the menu very hard to use. You have to be very precise in order to tap on a button.

Title: Assorted Gameplay and AI Bugs

Describe the problem:
-In the action menu, selection is often misaligned with the mouse.
-CO music sometimes plays during the wrong player's turn, or doesn't play at all.
-Properties can be transferred to the opponent. (Very easy to do this by accident.)
-AI will produce units, but will not move them after doing so.

Additional Comments:
"Recon" is spelled wrong, and APCs are called "Support Tanks." The latter was rather confusing.

Describe the problem: Andy recon (100A) attacks 100D 10HP artillery on city. Recon vs. artillery BD Is 45. City adds 30D.

Describe the expected result: Damage should be between 45 x .7 = 31 (0 luck) and 54 x .7 = 37 (9 luck). 41 health was removed from the unit.

Describe the problem: Click to select a unit, click to select destination, click to confirm arrow movement

Describe the expected result: In AW4 it’s click to select a unit, click to move to destination. Only if you click drag can you set a manual path. There is no need to confirm arrow movement.

Oh goodness, I used the other link instead.  Sorry if that causes problems or clutter or something.  I don't really understand these things!

Anyway:

Title: Game crashes instead of "Trap"

Describe the problem: On Spann Island, as no CO, I moved a tank onto an enemy infantry that was previously unseen due to fog.  Game crashed as a result of this.


Describe the expected result: The tank should have halted right in front of the infantry.

Describe the problem: When the AI moves their (supposedly unseen) units, they can in fact be seen for the duration of their movement.  In addition, there is a bit of an 'after-image' graphical quirk that seems to happen every so often.

Describe the problem: I've only encountered this once, but I was Sami and ended my turn against AI Max.  The music changed to Max's, but then after Max's turn ended, it continued to be Sami's music until the loop ended.  This one I might be misremembering to some extent, though.  There was definitely some issue with the music not switching properly, though.

Describe the problem: Unit animations can be seen during Fog of War, even if the tiles aren't revealed.

Describe the feature: Currently you have to select the map, then click on "Game Configuration" and then on "Start Game". As most of the time I am just using the default settings, I think it would be nice to be able to click on "Start Game" directly after selecting the map.

After loading the game resources and hit "Start Game", a fatal error shows up.

And hit either "Yes" or "No" will cause reloading the game and the same error again.

The error frame should be in a corner so I can see the menu items :D
