I agree with and Tindak 2.0 & PACA Net. But we need to go beyond that to address the root cause of the problem, the EC itself and the system. One of the factors is poorly trained and possibly, partisan, EC officers running the show.

75% of the PACABA problems stem from the EC officers be it the RO, the KTM or the Kerani. If they are honest and competent, it is very hard for the EC to cheat. We can attribute it to poor training, sloppiness or male fide. The outcome is still the same - a poorly-managed election. We need to go beyond PACABA to provide online training for EC officers itself so that they can have an understanding of what proper election management is all about. Then they won't blindly accept the garbage the EC dumps on them with the mantra "Ini arahan." If they understand how the proper process works, they cannot plead ignorance in future.

Ultimately, we must prepare ourselves to run the elections. It is too important to be left to politicians and their hacks.

Remember this! IT IS OUR ELECTION!

Reading a response to this message, it occurred to me that many of you who are trainers may have been left wondering what your role is going to be in the future. That future role is recorded in a sentence carefully placed in this strategy statement.
"Where we are invited to do so, we will also provide train-the-trainer services."
You can be sure that, initially, people will still call upon us to deliver training. What we are doing is creating the avenue for our trainers to upgrade their role. But I see the demand for training by our trainers remain strong for several months at least. Down the road, I hope to see the delivery of training move downstream. Tindak 2.0 will remain responsible for overseeing the quality of the training delivery nationwide.

I hope this sits well with everyone.

Folks, many thanks to those who responded on my rebranding query. Thanks to you, we are now Tindak 2.0!

The following is a sneak preview of part of our strategy, agreed to in principle by the core team and being worked out in detail before a formal announcement is made. I am leaking this to get your feedback on a specific matter.

Moving forward, Tindak 2.0 will be playing the role of facilitator for a nationwide network of PACABA. There is a huge pool of PACABA with real experience from GE13 ready to grow to the next level. It does not matter to us who previously recruited or trained the PACABA. They are all members of the fraternity and we want to provide them with all the support they need to become more competent and confident. They can retain their existing organisation structures and line of reporting. Their only relationship with Tindak 2.0 is that they will have access to our resources. With the level of preparedness that this can bring about, the next time around, KTMs and other miscellaneous SPR officials are not going to bully the PACABA so easily.

In line with this plan, our training team will be streamlining the programmes and programme materials which will be made available for download from our servers. We will also provide knowledge and skill assessment and certification so that the Ketua PACABA can make sure all their PACABA  have what it takes to live up to expectations. Where we are invited to do so, we will also provide train-the-trainer services.

We already have the Tindak 2.0 Network for members. I am proposing that we create another network for all those affiliates who don't necessarily want to become members of Tindak 2.0 for whatever reason.

I am proposing to call this extended network PACA Net powered by Tindak 2.0

What do you all think?

Guess who will become prime candidates for future SEO, RO and KTM?

BTW, my reply will bounce from many of the copied groups. Maybe they should be given the hint as well.

PY,

While I totally agree with you, I believe our role is dual.

1) To become a force to be reckoned with where PaCaBa training is concerned.

2) To prepare the blue print now for the eventuality of running the EC functions in time to come.

For now, while very little is within our control, our game plan should be to beat them at their own game and I believe Tindak 2.0 has what it takes.

Warm regards,
Pam
