GUOS assists elementary schools with waste reduction projects including 
composting, recycling, waste free lunches, and upfront waste reduction. Schools 
that apply receive funding and assistance for their projects for 3 years. They 
are currently working with Irvine and Newport-Mesa Unified School Districts. 
They also work with schools in Colorado.

Hello!

My name is Alexandra from Green up Our Schools. I am contacting you because each 
of our schools has a student green team that meets a few times each month.  I 
was hoping we could put your name on a list of potential guest speakers to come 
to the schools and talk about various sustainability topics (energy, water, 
waste, solar panels, etc.).

We're looking for someone who can come talk to a group of elementary students 
for 5-20 minutes on what they do.  The Green Team meeting times depend on the 
school -- before school, during lunch, after school, etc.  and can be flexible 
around your schedule and availability if the time comes. We don't need you to 
commit to a certain date or time, we just want to know if we can add your 
contact information to a list. We are not sure if a school will call you or 
when, but your name will go onto a master list and given to the heads of the 
Green Team.

If you are interested in putting your name on the list for possible contact at a 
future time, please provide me details of your name, best way to contact you, 
business name and what sort of talk you would give/what are you involved in? If 
you have already expressed interest to being on the list, it would be great if 
you could confirm the details I listed above, to make sure we have the most 
recent information on file.

Also, if you know of someone who would be interested in participating in this as 
well, please freely forward this email and my contact information on.
