Mark, regarding your plans for merging your 4 books into 1... my main
concern with that is the same that you mention regarding "print
editions" (ie. makes it easier for me to print). Maybe I'm the only
"old fogey" subscriber but I print out the updated PDF files and stick
them into binders... for me the best of both worlds - I have access to
Kindle version for searching and digital access, plus I can keep
printed versions up-to-date and laying open alongside my development
system as needed.

By merging everything into 1 big book, makes it much more difficult
decision for me to do an update reprint if I have to print a couple of
thousand pages rather than 700+.

Certainly doesn't change the decision process for me as a subscriber
though! The value received from your book(s) is excellent.

My apologies for the massive delay in responding to this -- for some
reason, Google Groups never sent the moderation message to me.

I hope to have changebars in the rebooted PDFs. While it will take you
longer to print the changed sections, you will at least need to print
fewer pages.

Change bars would be a very welcome addition!

Whether actually printed or not, I've found it really hard to keep up
with all of the updates. I knew there are useful gems sprinkled
throughout, but can't ever devote the time required to do a decent
search.

With change bars, keeping up with all the platform related changes would
be much more manageable.

-Scott.
