We have scheduled our solar cooker building work shop for May 11th at 10 am and repeating at noon.  There will also be a cooking class featuring Thai food at the same times.  The location will be Dry Creek Park in Clovis.  Check out our web page for a link to a map.  You must RSVP if you want to build a Summer/Winter cooker as construction supplies are limited.  Cost for the cooker supplies is $20.  A donation of $5 is suggested for the cooking class.  If you would like to trace our Cook-it please bring a 3'x4' piece of cardboard.
Thank you,  Carl Peters

Hello,

Do you have a picture of the Summer/Winter cooker?  How big is it?   Do we need to bring any hammer, nails, etc if I want to make one?  thanks Susan

Hi Susan,
The Summer/Winter Cooker is made out of corroplast (a plastic cardboard) with Mylar on the reflective surfaces.  It is like the cook-it, but better.  I had it up to 315 degrees in early March.  We also have a couple cookers made by people down in San Diego we can show you.  Lots of ways to cook and it doesn't hurt to have more then one cooker.
Carl and Ellen
