The sunshine has arrived.  Carl solar roasted a couple chicken breasts for dinner today and melted marshmallows to make rice krispie treats.  This coming Saturday, March 16th is our first cooking class combined with a solar cooker building workshop.  Check out the link to our web page below for more information and a link to a map.  Location is Dry Creek Park in Clovis.   The first class starts at 10:30am.  If you want to learn more about how to cook solar please come.  None members are also welcome, so bring a friend.  If you want to build your own cooker bring a 4'x3' piece of card board  or if you want to be fancy Carl has some neat new designs he's making using Coroplast ( you can buy a sheet of this at Precision Plastics on Temperace and Hwy 168). The class and the workshop repeat at 12 noon;  so you can do one or both.  A $5 donation is suggested to help cover the cost of materials.  Please RSVP if you think you are coming so I'll know how many handouts to have ready.
If you are one of our active solar cookers please consider coming to help and share your knowledge.
See you Saturday,  Ellen and Carl
