Come support solar cooking in the Central Valley. Our goal is to start a solar cooking movement here in the valley and through out California. Lets stop polluting with charcoal and gas BBQ's and learn to cook a better way with the suns energy.
Please note our location is now the Gazebo at Woodward Park. There is an entrance fee of $5 ( $3 seniors) for cars entering the park. You may walk or bike in for free. If you come in on the Friant Road entrance turn right, go several 100 yards and look for the Gazebo down a hill on the left.
Set up at 9 am; The Festival is 10 am to 5 pm; with pot luck food sampling starting at noon for members, family and friends only.
We will have a silent auction; closing at 2pm. The auction will include several solar related items including a cooker. If you can donate an item please let us know.
If you can bring a cooker and something to cook, please let us know. If you are a member please bring something for the pot luck if you can. Also bring plates, utensils, parasols, sunglasses, chairs and water (or other non-alcoholic beverage).
If you can help with set up (at 9 am), sign in, setting up the pot luck, the silent auction or clean up (about 4 pm) please let us know.
The more help and support we have the more fun we will all have.
