Just had to email to say what a fantastic weekend for CVRFC!!!!!!
For those that do not know:
Our Under 13s secured promotion by winning Division 4 of the Herts Middx
League, unbeaten all season!
Our Under 10s won the Hertfordshire County Plate competition at Old Albanian
beating Welwyn by 5 tries to 2 in the final!
Huge congratulations to all those concerned - players, coaches and those
parents who make the effort every weekend to attend, support and help out.
The future is looking very bright for our club!
Come on The Valley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all,
*Herts Middlesex League 4 - 2010/11 Champions!!!*
What a morning! Not only did we beat Biggleswade to win the league, we
scored our highest number of points in a game this season with the end
result being:
*Chess Valley 45:12 Biggleswade*
I will send out a match report in the next day or so and I suspect a video
evening may be forthcoming either Wednesday week or after the match against
OAs B in two weeks (10 April) where we will be rotating the squad.
Whilst thinking about yesterday, I reckon there are a few people to draw
attention to. Firstly, to those boys who weren't on the playing squad today
but still came to support the team. So to Ciaran S, James McK, Lewis G,
James McI, Harry S, Jack Mac and Tom S - thank you.
I think this is also a suitable time to thank all the friends and family who
came to support the boys today (another brilliant turnout), all the coaches
for their hard work all season long, to Neil Brooks from the U15s for
refereeing, to the U15s players and coaches for coming up to cheer us on and
to Nicky Fawssett for sorting out such a fine spread of food for the boys
and parents at the after match celebration.
Finally, to all the lads who played so well, not just today but throughout
the league campaign. Quite fantastic effort, well done to all of you.
*Wednesday training - 7.00pm - 8.00pm*
We may have won the league but there are still two friendlies and a 10's
tournament to prepare for! Please come if you can, also like last week when
I saw a new face joining in, if you want to bring a friend then please do.
All are welcome.
*Sunday training - OFF AS MOTHERS DAY*
We think that the Mum's have supported our boys more than enough this season
so as it is Mother's Day on Sunday, we will not be training and instead
giving the lads a chance to make a fuss of their Mum's instead.
*U10s*
It wasn't just the U13s winning silverware today! At the Herts Contact
Festival, the U10s won the Plate competition, beating Welwyn in the final
5-2! Many congratulations to them and their coaches.

If anyone has any good photos from the game today, I would really appreciate
it if you could send them to me as I need some good pictures for the website
and for some local press coverage! So if you have a good shot of the squad
or a moment in the game, please do send on to me - thanks.
So well done again to everyone today, will email the match report in next
