Hi Gents,

 

I think it would be fair to say a few of you would have heard very little from the club over the last 12 months. As a Senior section we have become incredibly reliant on our whatsapp group to communicate, I’m hoping an email will bring more of you back into the fold.

 

With that considered we will be hosting a Players BBQ on the 18/08/2018 at the Guild. With so many new faces down at pre-season training, and so many older faces that we haven’t seen for a while, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to get everybody together for a few beers. We have also invited the Colts who will be feeding into the team throughout the season.

 

Just an update on the successes of last season. We didn’t lose a league match at home, finished fifth overall and managed to reach the Semi-Final of the County Plate. Despite a rocky away record we played consistently well from start to finish. Sam Stabler has taken over as head coach this season and we have recruited well with a number of new players joining the club for the upcoming season.

 

Sam has plans to field a strong 1^st XV this year as well as a 2^nd XV for at least 8 fixtures. So, if you haven’t played for a while dust off your boots, join us for pre-season training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1930-2100 at the Guild or come for a beer on the 18^th August and say ‘hello’. It goes without saying but if you know anyone who would like to join the club PLEASE BRING THEM ALONG.
