Please join the Dept. of Philosophy at CSU Stanislaus for a two-part lecture series titled “Dynamic Spacings in Heidegger and Kusch.”
Daniela Vallega-Neu will give the first talk, titled “Time-space, Earth, and World in Heidegger,” on Tuesday, November 21, 3:00-5:00 in the Faculty Development Center, 113. Prof. Daniela Vallega-Neu (University of Oregon) is author of Heidegger’s Poietic Writings (Indiana University Press, 2018), The Bodily Dimension in Thinking (SUNY, 2005) and Heidegger’s Contributions to Philosophy: An Introduction (Indiana University Press, 2003). Her further work focuses on developing a plural ontology based on rethinking embodied time.

Alejandro A. Vallega will give the second lecture, titled “The Seminal Thought of Rodolfo Kusch,” on Wednesday, November 22, 3:00-5:00 in the Faculty Development Center 113. Alejandro A. Vallega is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oregon. He is the author of Heidegger and the Issue of Space: Thinking on Exilic Grounds (Penn State Press, 2008), Sense and Finitude: Encounters at the Limit of Language, Art, and the Political (SUNY press, 2009-2010), and Latin American Philosophy: From Identity to Exteriority (Indiana University Press, 2014), and the editor of Enrique Dussel’s Ethics of Liberation: In the Age of Globalization and Exclusion (Duke University Press, 2013).
