Day one- NCLEX-PN Success Strategies:

This full day seminar will focus on the successful development of test items and exams based on effective blueprint development. We will review the new NCLEX test plan. We will explore strategies to create and revise questions for the purpose of identifying students’ ability to implement safe and effective clinical judgement while providing care. We will focus on best practice strategies in the use of exam analysis to improve program quality. Time will be spent putting these strategies into practice by writing new test questions and analyzing test statistics. Finally, discussions on learner success will help to reveal programmatic strengths and weaknesses for instructional design and curricular enhancement.

Day 2- Active Learning Strategies for Active Students:

This full day (six hour) seminar will focus on engaging learners through active teaching strategies. We will explore generational differences in the student population and adult learning theory. We will discuss active learning strategies and put into practice innovative methods to engage the learner.
