Hi Seb

Just wondering if you’d had chance to give any thought to this?

The site is very nearly ready to go live, and it’d obviously be good to launch it as soon as its ready.

Cheers

Hi Dave,

Glad to hear it's going well. Basically it depends on what turns up
during the week and the other tasks, which is all very last minute at
the moment. Obvious the questionnaire is the top priority, then yours
is equal (or just ahead because you got in early) with other
priorities.

What I'm thinking is that we wait until you say it's ready to go live
and then look at it. Either it gets to go out on its own, or at least
we can put it in as a secondary message within the main task (e.g.
"also, have a look at this link").

However, I'm wondering how close it is to finishing? Quickly clicking
around, it seems to need a fair bit of minor proofing and design /
cross browser tweaks, e.g.

* the bar chart bottom left has lots of overlapping text in my browser
* it says "TOP CONTRIUBTERS" on the home page
* when I edit something, nothing appears to happen (e.,g at
http://www.whofundsthem.com/web/donor_update_step1.php?donorId=15774)
* It says "Organisation Owner" NULL on that page, which would confuse
people -- should that be "unknown"?
* on that page, there's a "view" column in the funding table with
"plus" links that don't appear to do anything
* the "tips" link at the bottom is broken

I could go on but I dare say you already know about these kinds of
things, it's just that I'm guessing they'll take a while longer to
fix?

Once that kind of thing is fixed I'd like to give some feedback about
some usability suggestions but I don't want to jump the gun if the
basic version's not finished...

Thanks!

Seb

Hi Seb

My apologies (to Kim as well!) as I should have been clear that we're aware
of these bugs that need to be tidied up. I included the link to demonstrate
the general GUI and functionality.

I'll get back to you as soon as all the bugs we know about are fixed.

Cheers

Dave

OK, thought so, just checking :)

So, the gist of what I was saying was that when the bugs are ironed
out I think it would make sense for me & anyone else to go over it one
more time for any other usability tweaks before it goes live... so
that might delay it a bit more.

Thanks

Seb

Hi David,

How are things looking on your site now? Nice structured data on how
candidates got funded would be of real interest to TheyWorkForYou...

best,

Tom

Hi Tom

I'm hoping to meet with Kim at some point this week to go through the
remaining issues to fix. I believe it's not too far away from completion.
Progress has been somewhat slower the last couple of weeks as Kim's had to
return to his job, which he'd had a six month sabbatical from.

I'll let you know as soon as I can.
