I received the following string of emails from a CVMA Sister from Virginia asking for help for two veterans.
The second email is from Dr. Carrie Elk of the Elk Institute further explaining what she does and can do for these veterans.
If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hello Seldon "Postal",

As Maggie said, I am a psychotherapist and PTSD sme that provides education and treatment of psychological trauma (PTS/PTSD) to service members and veterans nationally at no charge to the individual veteran or service member.  It takes 1-5 sessions of non medicinal non invasive brief therapy to correct the storage of the traumatic memory so that it no longer elicits the traumatic visceral response (trigger) upon recalling the event.  I am a non profit with 90% of our donations in 2014 spent on direct education and treatment of veterans.  I have organizations that sponsor the special operations community guys/gals that want my treatment but have no one to get the conventional forces veterans to us for help.  Here are two videos that sum up our work:

I have two veterans at the moment that are seeking our treatment. One is California and one in Kentucky.  I can get them on the schedule within the next 30-45 days.  They will need to be here in Tampa Sun night-Sat morning for a full course of treatment. I anticipate it being in the ball park of 2500 per vet: 1200 for the treatment plus whatever the air/hotel/per diem they need while here.

I am traveling today but feel free to call me on my cell at 813 310 6686 if you think you can sponsor these two veterans in getting the PTSD treatment they are seeking.

Thank you so much and I look forward to talking,

Respectfully,

Hello Dr. Elk,

Please meet "Postal" (Seldon Irvine). He is the Det 1 Commander for CVMA FL 20-4.

Hello Brother,

I wanted to reach out to you to introduce Dr. Carrie Elk, of the non-profit Elk Institute in Tampa. http://elkinstitute.org/

Dr. Elk is renown leader in the mental health field, and has been helping veterans with PTSD for a long time. She has two soldiers who are in need of her treatment in Tampa. Many organizations only cover specific veterans, ie. Marines or SOF personnel.  I thought I would reach out to my brethren CVMA chapter in the area to see if this something you all could help support, to help heal these vets.

Thank you for all you both do!

Sincerely,
Maggie
