chicken needs a new home ASAP

Good morning All,

It's been quite some time since I've seen any activity from this group but thought I would give it a try. I have a chicken that needs to find a new flock that has a rooster or else she needs to be alone. Unfortunately, she has developed some pecking order behavior that goes just too far and has been isolated in the short term.

If she was in a flock with a rooster, he would probably manage this sort of thing. She will be two years old in late September. The breed is Ancona, a relative of the Leghorn. She lays very well but of course not quite like a leghorn.She is not laying at the moment as she has just started molting. I think the stress of the very hot weather may have brought this on earlier in the season than is usual for such a young bird.
