Welcome to Charlottesville's Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee! We are an official but unappointed committee of folks interested in helping the city to be a better and safer place for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Meetings

Our meetings are public, and everyone is welcome to attend. They take place on every first Thursday of the month from 5-6:30 PM. A proposed agenda (including the meeting location) will be sent out to the email group approximately a week ahead of time. If you would like to propose an item be included in the next month's agenda, contact the chair.

The current co-chairs are: Guinevere Higgins (foxgloveg@gmail.com) and James Van Vranken (jamesvv143@gmail.com)

The city staff liaison is: Tommy Safranek (safranekt@charlottesville.gov)

This email group is a discussion board for members of BPAC. Everyone is welcome to use this group to share ideas, propose suggestions, and ask questions. Send an email to "cvillebpac@googlegroups.com" to send to the group. Important note: All emails sent to this email address - including the name and email address of the sender - are in the public domain, and can be accessed by anyone through a FOIA request.

Group Policy

No hate speech, bullying, or harassment will be tolerated. The co-chairs of the Committee retain the right to remove any person from the group for offensive or inappropriate messages.
