Good Morning Bills Fans!

I just wanted to let you all know how things are going with our "Make a Wish" campaign for Greg and Tina.  I spoke with Greg on Friday who informed me that he and Tina have opted to invite hospice into their home.  Tina's pain used to be around an 8 or 9 and now it is more like a 2.  Hospice aims to keep  terminally ill patients comfortable and in addition to the physical care they offer emotional, psychological and spiritual assistance to patients and their families.  Greg and Tina feel blessed and thankful for their help. 

Tina is now moving around, awake and planning for things.  Though her and Greg know that the future is uncertain it is heart warming to hear that Tina is talking about putting on weight so that she can fit into her wedding dress.  Additionally Tina is determined to get well enough or strong enough not nly to get married and go on a honeymoon, but to also visit Charlottesville one day on game-day to thank each and every one of you for your help.  It is when I hear this change in Tina that I get a little emotional.  I am so proud of what you and other fans have been able to do.  By donating and buying raffle tickets you are all helping Tina to live while she can, to enjoy the hopes and good feelings that dreams can bring and to live life.  This is no small or minor act and we can not thank you enough.

What we are doing and why:

For those who don't know why we are raising money here is a quick explanation.  Greg and Tina (Bills Backers both) have been together for 18 years and have a 12 year old daughter Marissa.  Sadly, Tina was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the age of 38.  Tina was married years and years ago and but to this day she has been unable to find him or to afford to take the necessary steps to legally divorce so that she and Greg may get married.  Greg and Tina love each other deeply and it is our goal through our fund-raising to help them to be able to love the dream of becoming husband and wife.  It is our group's very own "Make A Wish" foundation.  We are hoping to not only raise enough for the attorney's fees but to also help cover a portion of the cost of their honeymoon.  At the time of this posting 9/19/10 @ 9:45 am (EST)  We/you and Bills fans from all over the country have raised just over $500.00 toward this cause.  This is truly amazing and very encouraging. 

On behalf of Tina and Greg and their daughter Marissa...I extend a very heart-felt and sincere "Thank you" to all of you.  We will continue to raise what we can throughout the season and I will continue to update you all on our progress.
