Good Morning Bills Fans!  

The QB carousel started early this year.  Do you agree?  Who is to blame for the Bills' sputtering offense?  Wasn't Chan Gailey supposed to be an offensive "guru?" THe Bills have looked ugly in Chan's first 2 games and like he said, they are looking for a spark.  Is Fitzpatrick that spark?  We've seen this before Bills fans but lets hope that our worst fears are eliminated and that Fitz can get the ball downfield to Lee at least ONCE this game (although I want to see a LOT more than that).  

Some good news:  The Bills defense has actually been a pleasant surprise this year.  Imagine how good they will look if they aren't on the field for 45 minutes per game.  On the other side the Pat's defense is looking weaker than in years past and Faulk is out for the year.  If ever there were a game to step up early in the season and early in Chan Gailey's tenure THIS is that game.  At this point I would prefer a record of 1-2 with a win against the Patriots than to be 2-1 with a loss to the Pats.  See you at the Parrot this Sunday for the show down in Foxboro.  Get there early.  Seats get scooped up quickly.

NON-SMOKING and BUFFALO SABRES Location in C-Ville
A few of you have expressed concern over the fact that the majority of our crew like to gather in the smoking section of the Lazy Parrot.  It is hard to please everyone and as I mentioned last week, we can always get the Bills game on the back screen in the non-smoking section.  The Brownies tend to assemble in that section but if you are there early enough and claim some seats, the Parrot is more than willing to help us out in this effort.  BUT....  There is now another option all together...  (read on...)

MAIN STREET ARENA  
Bills Backer and big-time Sabres fan, Roger Voisinet has offered up the Main Street Arena as a satellite location of the CBBB and it is smoke free.   Additionally The Main Street Arena will have the NHL package and what better place to be watch the Sabres than an Ice Park?  The Main Street Arena is located at the Ice Park on the Downtown Mall.  Of course, the Parrot is our first home but as we are a growing group that is made up of a variety of different people,  it make sense to have a location for families (let your kids skate while you watch the game),  folks who are not comfortable in loud environments, non-smokers and U.Va. students who otherwise can't travel cross-town.  I will add all of the info to our Facebook page but here is what Roger wrote to me:

The Charlottesville Ice Park is now open under the new name of Main Street Arena. The lobby is now a fabulous sports bar with six HD TV's...We are serving tap beer, wine and a menu from Escafe across the Mall who will deliver. There will be more changes and additions in the coming months. The Arena is open for ice skating, hockey and public skating and we have even added Curling along with Monday Night Football. You can drink beer on the ice, Curl a game and turn your shoulder and watch Monday Night Football. We have the complete NFL package so any and all games can be seen. If you come down they will put the Bills game on for you if it is not already on one of the screens. This goes for the NHL as well. No grand opening date set yet.  I am one of the investor/owners. We will be having non-ice events as well incluidng an art show, an auto show, a high end furniture show, Derby Dames Roller Derby and maybe even a winter version of Friday's After Five. The address is 230 W. Main Street across from the Omni Hotel.  The web site is  mainstarena.com but it is under developement and should be fully functional soon.
