Fall Information and Reminders for Students

Recently we mailed information to each student. The packet included
important reminders and the student's class schedule. For your
convenience, the general information from these mailings is posted at
http://www.cvgs.k12.va.us/FACULTY/smith/Index.htm

Since sending that information, another important decision has been
made. On the first day of school here at CVGS (Tuesday, August 17,
2010), we will follow our Monday schedule. This means that all
students will be here at CVGS for their instruction. More
specifically, no students should report to Central Virginia Community
College for a biology lab as they might otherwise do on a typical
Tuesday.

If students or parents have questions regarding transportation to and
from CVGS on days when CVGS is in session but the home school division
is not, the CVGS advocate from the home school division should be
contacted. Again, the third and final day of orientation for new
students at CVGS is Monday, August 16, and our first official day of
classes for all students is Tuesday, August 17; our first period
begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.
