Hi all,

You're invited to the Food Systems Council's Winter Forum next Thursday January 16th at 6PM! The Winter Forum will be a two-part event, with Part 1 featuring Guido Masé giving a talk based on his new book, "The Wild Medicine Solution: Healing with Aromatic, Bitter and Tonic Plants," and the work he does with the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism.

For part 2, attendees will break into groups and prioritize our goals for the new year, and develop a workplan to bring them into reality.  Will we finish up the Garden in Every Washington County School Project?  (We're close!)  Establish some community root cellars?  Work agriculture & value-added enterprises into our region's economic development strategy?  Regardless of the path we take, we need your help to get there!  Please RSVP to Alex Prolman at apro...@montpelier-vt.org.

We hope to see you at Lost Nation Theater (2nd floor of Montpelier City Hall) next Thursday at 6pm!

Hi again everyone, final reminder for our Winter Forum at Lost Nation Theater this Thursday at 6pm.

Last-minute update:  NECI will be providing soup and bread for the early part of the Forum for us.  Let's be sure to thank them, and although we will be providing spoons and bowls, attendees are encouraged to bring their own to cut down on unnecessary waste.

I've attached the agenda for the Forum to this email; check it out if you're curious!

Looking forward to Thursday; let us know if you have any questions prior to the event!

Alex
