Reminder for late pickup

Dear CVCS parents,

Last Sunday, one parent was extensively late (for 45min) in picking-up his kids. A similar case happens a couple of weeks ago, where a parent did not show up until 5:45pm. Volunteers on school board and in the church had to company the kids all the time as we are not to leave kids under 12 unattended. This has significantly upset the schedule of the unprepared volunteers. And much worse, it generates unacceptable negative impacts to our students whom left alone in the church. This has been happening over the last months and years in different degrees, and we would like to remind parents again on the following policies:

* Unless there are special events, all Chinese School classes close before 4:30pm.

* All parents are expected to arrive Church 5 minutes before students being dismissed. That is 4:25pm.
* Chinese School volunteers will watch unattended kids till 4:40pm to allow parents to manage specific situations. Parents have to arrange their own baby-sitter if they can not make it to 4:45pm.
* Repeated violation of picking-up policy will result in permanent dismissal from CVCS for the safety of students.

We all strive to provide best possible supports to nurture the development of our kids. CVCS is purely a not-for-profit organization. We definitely need each and every parents to make proactive contributions to create a fair, respectful, and loving environment that our kids deserve.
