Hi Everyone

An update about the club merchandise...

As I've mentioned I feel that the club logo could use a bit of a refresh (or a complete overhaul, but let's keep it simple for now...). I took a crack at this by updating the font and eliminating the volleyball dot for the "i" which I think is too cute. 

The current logo and my proposed changes are in the attached ppt file, have a look and see what you think. By no means am I precious about it and there are lots of ways to change it, I just tried to do something a bit more up to date without losing the overall look, in case you think this is important for brand recognition (I personally don't but I think I'm alone!)

Also attached are a few mock ups of items from Kitlocker using the new font/logo, keeping the black and red color scheme. Depending slightly on order numbers, the printed prices are approx...

T-shirt: RRP: £14.80
Polo: £18
Hoodie RRP: £33.60

The other leisurewear items they offer are here: http://www.kitlocker.com/nike-adult-express-range ...we could easily change the items or colors, and/or change the logo to the old one or something different still - we just need to decide what options we want to offer. 

Kitlocker don't seem to have an online store front option as someone suggested at the last meeting, so we'd have to take orders. 

So that's pretty much it for this avenue. Please discuss tonight and let me know if/how you want to take it forward.

Sarah's email reminded me - was there any decision about the merchandise proposal I made for the last committee meeting? Do we want to take this forward? Or any other comments?

Hang on, were we not going to do a refresh on the club logo first?  I thought the agreement had been to update the text.

The agreement was to update the text. Phil was going to get some costings from another firm that he knows. Then we were going to make decision on who to go with.

Ok thanks Frances, I was just wondering if it had moved on from there... Phil have you gotten anywhere with this?

Sarah, I did a simple refresh of the logo font without sacrificing brand recognition. You can see the before and after (with and without the graphic) in the attached document...totally just a suggestion!

Just contributing an opinion, not a decision, as thought Bronwyn's logo looked good and hadn't heard anymore on it.

I have spoken to my old contact and they have stopped doing the online shop, they said the margins were too low producing the one off's.
 
Their prices are quite good for orders but we would need to hold a stock.  Might be worth reconsidering as the cost seems high for the online shop. http://www.yourlogohere.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=25
