Hi Spring League,
Well well, I don't think the finals night could have been any more exciting...
Of the 20 games played, twelve were decided by 3 points or less, six (including three finals) were decided by a single golden rally, and the biggest final set margin in any pool was 2 points....if only we had more time! In any case that made for a lot of great volleyball and was a testament to the competitive spirit of everyone in the tournament, thanks to you Spring League keeps getting better and better :)
Here's how it all played out...
In Pool 5, ESA Flying High (a team of relative newcomers to volleyball) gave Jelly Babies a thrilling run for the top spot, losing by only one point 31-30. CVC beginners came third.
In Pool 4, the battle of the colleges went point for point the whole night, with Darwin beating UCC in another single point decider, 29-28. Trinity finished in third.
And again in Pool 3, ARU 2 took a one point victory over Jumping Rhinos for first, also 31-30. CVC NVL women & friends finished third.
In Pool 2, Blues 1 pulled out the win against CVC county men& friends 25-23, with only 3 points between them across their two games. Flying Rhinos came 3rd.
And as expected, Pool 1 was an action-packed fight to the finish, with 3 of 4 games decided by 2 points or less. Bloc Party held on to top spot in the league beating Blues 2, 21-19. ARU 1 came third, but they did beat Bloc Party in the triangular!
Congratulations to everyone for such an exciting finish to the tournament, and thanks for all your help in keeping it running smoothly all along. I hope you've had fun :)
Right so now there's only one thing left....the PARTY!! Come celebrate another great Spring League season with the rest of CVC ***tomorrow night at the Fountain***. Everyone is welcome! The fun starts around 9, free cover until 11.
Really hope to see you there, and if not, on Jesus Green this summer... :)

Just a quick clarification, the party doesn't end at 11, just the free cover! The fun will definitely keep going... :)
