First Book Recipient Group:
First Book is pleased to announce a National Book Bank distribution
in North Brunswick, New Jersey! Books are available thanks to
generous donations from Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing and
Sterling Publishing.
About the North Brunswick, NJ 2009 distribution:
This is a regular distribution with approximately 30 titles available
in a variety of age ranges. The application to receive books from this
distribution will be available online at
http://www.firstbook.org/rg
beginning Tuesday, July 28th at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time). Please log-in
and review the list of available titles before beginning the
application.
Pleas update your registration information at
www.firstbook.org/rg and
provide a letter on your organization's letterhead stating your
organization's mission and the percentage of children from low-income
families that your organization serves before completing an
application. This is not required of groups who have already
completed this process in 2009. If your paperwork is not submitted by
the time we review your application, it will be declined.
If you successfully apply and we are able to allocate books to your
program from this distribution, you can receive the books in one of
two ways:
You can pick up the books in North Brunswick, New Jersey on Tuesday,
August 25th or Wednesday, August 26th for free.
You can have the books shipped to your program anywhere in the United
States at a shipping and handling cost of $0.35 per book. Please note
that you will be charged for every book shipped to you. Given that
books are shipped in carton quantities, you will be shipped as close
as possible to the exact number of titles you request. For example,
if you request 30 copies of a book that ships in a carton of 40 books
per box, you will be shippied (and charged for) 40 books.
If you were forwarded this e-mail, please visit
http://www.firstbook.org/register
to register with First Book before you complete an application.
Please keep in mind:
Books are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so please apply
early! This application will be closed once all of the available
books have been requested.
Completing an application does not guarantee that your organization
will receive books from this distribution.
You are only eligible to receive books from the National Book Bank
once per calendar year. If you receive books from this distribution,
you will not be able to receive books from another regular National
Book Bank distribution until 2010.
