CUWIN is an organization that is part of a student coalition that
promotes and supports academic excellence in four areas HEAT- (Health,
Education, Arts/Science, and Technology) through community service
projects. Volunteers are needed. Hours are flexible. We serve
grassroots, community, and faith based organization. By serving as
liaisons between academic institutions and nonprofits, we are able to
give back to the community.

National Book Bank Distributions!
Let it snow! Books to kids (and teens)! Let it snow! First Book is
excited to announce two special National Book Bank distributions.
Thanks to two outstanding First Book partners, Macmillan and Houghton
Mifflin Harcourt, we have a wide selection of books available -
including hundreds of thousands of books for Young Adults! What a
great way to kick off a winter of warmth and reading.
If you know of other programs serving Young Adults, please forward
this email so they can take advantage of these great titles.
All registered programs are encouraged to submit applications for one
or both of these book distributions! Priority will be given to those
programs that have not yet received books from the First Book National
Book Bank in 2010.
ABOUT THE BOOK DISTRIBUTIONS:
Name: Winter Celebration 2010: Books for Young Adults
Description: Hundreds of thousands of best-selling and high quality
books appropriate for Young Adults.
Note: Books for Young Adults may contain adult themes. Some are only
appropriate for children over the age of 15. Please review each title
carefully.
Getting Books: Books can be shipped to programs across the nation. All
books will ship by December 10.
Costs: Books are free to registered organizations in the U.S.; you
need only pay a shipping and handling charge of $0.35 per book.
