Coca-Cola Company gives $2.5 million to Clark Atlanta
This morning, President Brown and Vice President Aristide J. Collins,
Jr., attended a breakfast meeting hosted by Muhtar Kent, Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of the Coca-Cola Company, where it was
announced that the Coca-Cola Company was giving Clark Atlanta
University $2.5 million for scholarship support.
Our gift was part of a $7.2 million gift announcement to the schools
of the Atlanta University Center. The Robert W. Woodruff Library
received $1.2 million for infrastructure and to support its archival
work.
Our gift will be used for both short-term and long-term scholarship
support. President Brown, Vice President De Sousa and I are working
to
release some of the funds immediately to assist our students. As
always, the Division of Enrollment Services and Student Affairs will
be responsible for managing the scholarship process. We will further
develop a plan for gap scholarship support over the next ...Read More
