One Page, One Minute on Mentoring

MENTOR Receives MetLife Foundation Grant for Webinar Series
December 15, 2009: MENTOR is pleased to announce that the MetLife
Foundation is supporting the development and delivery of a series of
Web-based trainings on the newly-released third edition of the
Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring™.
The online series will take place in 2010 and will focus on educating
the mentoring field on the updated standards and suggested
enhancements. Attendees will learn how to address the challenges of
implementing the evidence-based quality benchmarks, as well as how to
incorporate the suggested enhancements into their program. They also
will learn how to sustain their implementation and adherence to the
Elements. The series will be practical, engaging, interactive and
solutions oriented.
"We are grateful to the MetLife Foundation for their enduring
commitment to our development of mentoring resources that are proven
to produce quality mentoring relationships," said MENTOR's President
and CEO Dr. Larry Wright. "Through their generosity, we were able to
update the Elements and are pleased that they are extending their
support so that we can train mentoring programs on how to incorporate
the new benchmarks and suggested enhancements into their program
operations."
Additional information on the 2010 Elements Webinar series will be
available in the coming weeks.
