Collegiate & Collegiate Interest,
I am in need of eight (8) volunteers to assist in our
Georgia Power Parade of Excellence as push cart volunteers. These
eight volunteers will lead the parade pulling a small push cart with
the Georgia Power Parade of Excellence logo on the front. In the pass
years Collegiate & Collegiate Interest from the Atlanta & TSU Chapters
have taken on this task and I want to keep it as a Collegiate 100
task.
See information for Parade Volunteers below:
· All volunteers are asked to arrive at the headquarters tent
at 9am. It is located at the corner of Ivan Allen Blvd and W.
Peachtree St in the parking lot of the Atlanta First United Methodist
Church.
· Wear khaki (tan) pants and you will be given a volunteer t-
shirt. Upon check-in you'll receive your push cart assignment..
· Parking is available at the Georgia Power Bldg at 214 Ralph
McGill Blvd, about 2 blocks from the headquarters tent - just walk
West on Ralph McGill which will become Ivan Allen Blvd. Leave enough
time to park and report by 9am. You will need to move your car right
after the parade and cannot park it there for the game. MARTA is the
best option as the Civic Center MARTA station is only a block from
headquarters.
· >You will receive one ticket for the game at the completion
of your duties and unless otherwise directed this can be retrieved at
parade headquarters.
· The parade units start to arrive at 8:30, parade steps off
at 10:00 and last unit leaves the marshaling area @11:00.
Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in volunteering for this
event by Wednesday, Sept. 23 @ 4:30pm. I will need your name, email,
contact number, and t-shirt size.
You will receive Collegiate 100 Volunteer Hours for this event!!!!!!
~Best regards,
Hillarie
