So we had our 2nd meeting last night. A new industrial designer joined us and like every other industrial design I've met, was very interested in CUUSOO.com and its ideas.
Kohei, we had one big question about delivery - how do manufacturers ship products to customers in Japan? Do they ship directly to each house? (Obviously this will be a concern for manufacturers here in HK and in China.)
Second - Peggy wants to draw user stories like the girl who created "plastic covers study guide" so she could sell the books after she used them... Can you give us some more stories in detail? (One problem with CUUSOO is that it takes time to explain to people what exactly CUUSOO does and how it does it. Peggy thinks that drawing past success stories will be the best and easiest way to explain CUUSOO to others.)
Charlotte showed us a website -
www.jacksonlaw.com.hkThis guy designs, make and sell Chinese style furnitures to Japan. He says that the Japanese really loves oriental style things... which they can't get in Japan I suppose. But he's getting so busy making furnitures he has no time to design! (right Charlotte?) So we were thinking he could use CUUSOO to help him connect with manufacturers.
From the above example, Charlotte thought of those Chinese style lamps - a flat piece of metal with cut out shapes, users can bend and apply to lamps themselves. They're pretty simple and highly customizable. We think it will be a good product to put up on CUUSOO.com next.
Finally... Peggy's idea of a seat cover for the Japanese shower. The stools they use in the shower room is hard and not comfortable. She thinks a waterproof jelly pad will provide comfort and safety for your buttocks. I agree! Who wouldn't want comfort for their buttocks! Especially for the elderly and skinny people who don't have that natural cushioning down there... OK... I better stop :P
Cheers,
