Dear Librarians,
As an existing member of the KU Selection Committee, you already know that member librarians have an active say in selecting the quality and scope of titles to be included in future KU collections through a quick and easy process. Titles selected for the KU Select Collections are not chosen by ourselves or publishers but by you, the library community, to ensure that the chosen titles are the most relevant for library users worldwide.
In a few weeks, we will be starting the selection process for KU Select 2024 HSS Books, so we would like to ask if you would still like to be involved in curating the new collections. Publishers are submitting their titles, and we plan to open the selection process on 20th March 2023. You will then have until 13th April to select in the KU Portal.
If you want to participate in this year’s selection, you do not need to do anything; we will contact you shortly before the selection process opens. However, if you would not like to be involved this year, please reply to this email by 9th March, and we will remove you from the list of selectors.
If any of your colleagues in the library would also like to be involved in selecting KU Select 2024 HSS Books, then we are always pleased to welcome new members to the KU Selection Committee. New members can sign up here.
Also, please let us know if you have any questions regarding the 2023 selection process.
