WTO issues 2017 Annual Report

World Trade Organisation

May 31, 2017

The WTO has published its 2017 Annual Report covering the organization’s activities in 2016 and early 2017. The Report opens with a message from Director-General Roberto Azevêdo, who looks back on a year marked by the entry into force of the Trade Facilitation Agreement and an important amendment to the WTO’s intellectual property agreement as well as heightened engagement by a range of stakeholders in the activities of the WTO.

The first part of the Report provides a brief overview of the past year, focusing on the WTO's major areas of activity. The second part provides more in-depth accounts of the WTO's work, covering trade negotiations, implementation of WTO agreements, trade monitoring, dispute settlement, support for developing countries and outreach activity.

The Report is available as a printed publication and a PDF. An app of the Report will soon be made available for viewing on tablets and smartphones. This will be available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
