Hello again everyone,
Remember this weekend is volunteering at the Littlefoot Triathlon. For those of you who have just been added to the email list, you can still sign up for volunteering this Saturday! You need 12 hours to compete in our regional race in Lake Havasu, Arizona in March, and this Saturday is an easy way to get 5-6 hours. You are responsible for finding a car and getting yourself there. We have more than enough room in cars right now.
You'll need to show up at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Lakewood at 5:45 AM SHARP. (Directions: From Boulder, take 93 through Golden. Veer right onto C-470 towards Colorado Springs. Take the exit for CO-8/Morrison Road. Go left off the exit. The park is on your right very quickly. Tell the guard that you're a volunteer and they'll send you in. Take your first right and follow that road until you see parking for the athletes.) Don't be late or I won't be a happy camper. Fer realz.
After you pass the parking for athletes and the transition area, do a U-turn and park on the right side of the road ready to head out onto the course. You will follow either Gabe or Sarah onto the course. They will position you and train you on what you'll be doing. They'll release you when the last athlete has passed through your position at which point you can head back to the finish area and grab some lunch. When all of the fencing & bike racks are put away, you are free to go.
Let me know now if you have questions, as I won't be available the morning of the race.
